In this unit, the students will be applying their basic understanding of how to steer the Mindstorm robot to earning their autonomous driver’s license. The unit will guide the students through several challenges that are self-paced. Students will begin by passing a car inspection and driver’s education then they will move into using sensors and motors for reversing and snow removal. Upon successful completion of 5 challenges, the students will earn their autonomous driver’s license. Through completing the challenges, the students will learn steer their robot, use touch and ultrasonic sensor, and the medium motor. This unit prepares students for the FLL Challenge in the next unit.
